This series explores geography by using recycled atlas pages within three miniature books. Several traditional binding methods are used, and the blank pages within 2 and 3 offer readers an opportunity to add their own records of place and travel.
From smallest to largest, Maps 1 uses a Turkish map fold within hardcovers and a keyhole cutout. Maps 2 has a stab binding with hard covers, and a cutout around St. Paul, where the book was made. Maps 3 has a coptic binding with eight signatures, each signature covered with a laced atlas page.
materials: atlas pages, paper, linen thread, Italian book cloth, board

Maps 1 is the smallest book, an expanding Turkish map fold, 2″x2″.

Maps 2 is the intermediate sized book, a hardcover stab-bound book with an inset revealing the first page.

Maps 3 is a coptic-bound book, 4″x4″ square, with each signature wrapped in a laced atlas page.
